Good afternoon Wildcat Families,

Week of October 18th:

Report Cards:  Report Cards will be distributed and sent home with students on Tuesday, October 19th.

Book Fair: The Book Fair starts this week! Parents - a safe alternative to cash is BOOK FAIR eWALLET! It's the best way to fund your student’s wish list! eWallets can be used at the in-school Fair or online to shop from 5,000+ products and it's fast and simple to set up! Just visit our Book Fair home page at Parents may shop after school hours on Wednesday, 10/20 for our late night evening, as the book fair will be open until 6:00 pm. Remember, everyone on campus should be following OCPS mask guidelines. 

Science Fair Update - Our 5th graders are still working hard on their Science fair projects!  Worksheet 4 was due on Thursday, Oct. 14th and Worksheet 5 will be due on Thursday, Oct. 21st.  For this part, students are being asked to conduct the experiment and record the data. If you have any questions, please reach out to your child’s classroom teacher.

iReady Update: Our students are working hard to reach their 45 minutes on both iReady Reading and iReady Math.

Last week, our grade level winner for Reading was 2nd grade!  Special shout out to the following classes for awesome pass rates: Ms. Christenson, Ms. Davey, Ms. Mack, Ms. Moody, and Ms. Murphy!

Our grade level winner for math was Kindergarten!  Special shout out to the following classes for awesome pass rates: Ms. Barnett, Ms. Faulkner, Ms. Gomez, Ms. Christenson, Ms. Ray, Ms. Davey, Mr. Guignet, Ms. Donohue, Ms. Seiler, Ms. Wambold, Ms. Moody, and Ms. Williams!

Wildcat Writing Wednesday Prompt: This week’s topic for our Wildcat Writing Wednesday was, I looked out my window and saw a dinosaur walking down the street.....(finish the story).  Have you asked your Wildcat what he/she wrote about yet?

Calendar Updates:

  • October 20th is Conference Night for K, 1, 2, 3, 5, and Ms. DelCastillo                 
  • October 27th -Remaining 4th grade conferences will be held the following Wednesday            
  • TBD- Ms. Ta’s Kindergarten class will be rescheduled for January
  • October 20th is late night Book Fair, open until 6:00 pm
  • October 21st is Rock Your School Event
