Principal's CORNER

Welcome to our Wildcat family!

Good afternoon Wildcat families and staff,

Week of April 12th:

FSA Testing:

I want to give a huge shout out to all of our 3rd-5th grade students and teachers for their hard work on their first FSA test this school year. Thank you LaunchEd parents for bringing your students back on campus so they could successfully complete their first FSA test. It was so nice to see our LaunchED Wildcats in person again.

We also want to thank all of our staff and students school-wide for helping us maintain a positive testing environment for our intermediate students.  Thank you to everyone who wore their new testing shirts, as it was a way to bring in positivity and motivation to our test takers.

Finally, we would like to give a HUGE SHOUT-OUT to our AMAZING testing coordinator, Mrs. Jennifer Ebert-Jones, who has done such an amazing job with testing this school year.  Thank you for being so organized and on top of things, and ensuring all of our students are tested for this first wave.

We are Wildcats, hear us ROAR!

PTA School of Excellence Survey:

Our Waterford Elementary PTA needs your help. They are participating in the National PTA School of Excellence program, which grows partnerships between PTAs and schools to enrich the educational experience and overall well-being of all students. As part of the process, National PTA requests feedback from families, administrators and teachers through the completion of an initial and final survey over a period of time. Your feedback on this final survey will help us improve and monitor the growth of our family-school partnership and achieve excellence. The classroom teachers will distribute a paper copy of the survey for our F2F students. Teachers will also be sending an email with this information for LaunchEd students and those who wish to complete the survey electronically.  Please take 5-10 minutes to complete this survey to help support this important Waterford Elementary PTA initiative. Surveys are due no later than Friday, May 7th 2021.

Wildcat Writing Wednesday Prompt:

This week’s topic for our Wildcat Writing Wednesday was, What is your favorite thing to do on the weekend?  Explain why it’s your favorite.  Have you asked your Wildcat, what he/she wrote about yet?
