Principal’s Message

Dear Parents and Guardians,

It is my honor to serve as your child’s principal at Waterford Elementary. I am so pleased that you are part of our Wildcat family. Please take a moment to read through our Student/Parent Handbook as it is provided so that you may become familiar with our school and OCPS policies and procedures. These policies are designed to ensure the safety of the children and allow for continuous, uninterrupted learning time for all students. We want your experience to be a positive one, so if you have any questions please, let us know.

It truly takes a team of dedicated individuals, working together, to provide an enriching learning experience for every student. Research clearly demonstrates that active family involvement in their child’s education has a significant positive effect on student success. I encourage you to become an active member of your child’s education by becoming an ADDitions volunteer, joining our School Advisory Council (SAC), and Parent Teacher Association (PTA).  SAC meetings will be held on the third Thursday of the month from September on.  PTA meetings will be held every other month. Together, our mission is to continue to build and strengthen our community by continuing to focus on communication, relationships, social-emotional learning (SEL), collaboration and cultural awareness.

Wildcats, it’s time to “Game on: Level up” for the 25-26 school year!

I look forward to partnering with you in the foundation of your child’s educational career. Best wishes for a happy and productive school year!

Yours in Education,

Danielle Arbelaez-Willis, Ed. S.
