Volunteers assist in various areas of the school through the ADDitions program. Anyone attending a field trip, working with a class party, assisting in the classroom or with events is a volunteer. All volunteers must have a completed and approved application on file with Orange County Public Schools. Applications are available online at www.ocps.net. Choose Community Resource, then ADDitions online application.
Parents are invited to donate their time and talents. Classroom volunteer opportunities are the classroom teacher’s decision. Please check with your child’s classroom teacher for volunteer opportunities. All volunteers must check in on the computer in the front office and get an ADDitions sticker before going to the classrooms.
We are always looking for interested parents, grandparents, aunts, and uncles who can provide a few hours of community service to our students. There are many opportunities to pique your interest. You might want to join us in the media center helping our students chose their next favorite author. Perhaps your skills in a foreign language can help a student struggle to learn your native tongue. We are always looking for professionals to spend the day with us on Teach-In in November where you can spread the word about your career and what our students need to be doing now to be marketable in the future.
